We take pride in giving our guests
personal service in a warm and
friendly setting.
|
The Inn's large living room, with
fireplace blazing, is the perfect
place to read, relax and make
new friends.
A veranda and yard
also welcome you.

|
At the Martin House Inn, guests find
a warm and comfortable year-round
haven, far from the pressures of the
outside world. Whether you are
coming for your first time or your
twentieth, at the Martin House Inn
we assure your comfort and
enjoyment. A place to unwind
and rediscover the pleasures of life. |
 |
 |
Our complimentary breakfast
includes Inn baked muffins, breads
and pastries, fresh fruits
and homemade granola. |

Guests always feel pampered when
they stay at the Martin House,
basking in the warmth of both its
old-world luxury and heartwarming
comfort, the fresh cleanliness of its
accommodations, the friendly
atmosphere, and the gracious
helpfulness and dependability of
hostess and staff… |
not to mention all the little
extra-special touches that make
their island holiday a superlative
experience. One such touch is the
Inn’s spectacular collection of
original artwork of local Nantucket
artists, including Paul Galschneider,
Paul Arsenault, Bobby Boushan
and Robert Stark. |
 |
 |
While most of the paintings gracing
the walls and rooms are part of the
owners’ personal collection, some
are part of the Inn’s revolving
collection and are available for
purchase by guests. |
Four-poster and canopy beds,
fireplaces, and authentic period
pieces are found throughout
thirteen air-conditioned "in season"
guest rooms. |

 |
 |
Help yourselves to our wonderful home baked afternoon snacks (prepared
by our pastry chef) when you return from your island gallivanting each day.
Enjoy the luxury and elegance of our regularly scheduled afternoon teas,
featuring scones and pastries as well as finger sandwiches.
|
 |
In addition to the above, we sometimes offer wine and cheese in the
afternoons, in lieu of the pastries. Many guests take their treats out to the
veranda, to the chaises in the back yard or to the beautiful widows walk,
where they can go to enjoy a peaceful spell reading, chatting with friends
or merely enjoying the natural beauty of our colorful gardens or of
Nantucket’s historic harbor.
|
 |
All these things and more make guests want to return again and again to
the Martin House Inn… truly one of Nantucket Island’s jewels.
